Waffle fun Friday
This week in economics we watched a movie about how walmart was tryin to go into this small town called Ashlyn. It really showed the super strength Walmart is in our nation. While I also watched a walmart movie in religion. That movie was bashing walmart and telling us how bad of a company it is. So I didn't know how to take this. We were discussing on what we wanted in the town. I just didn't know what way to lean toward. It was a hard choice but I chose to have Weserville build a walmart. I don't like walmart ethics but for Weserville it was a good thing for the town. And tomorrow we are having waffles tomorrow in class give that some comments please🙌🙌

Yay Waffles! I also had to watch both of those movies. I agree 100% it was difficult to chose which side would be best but in the end, I guess we just do not know for sure what is the best decision. I also agree the building a Walmart for Weserville is the best thing for the town. This will probably lead to some stores closing, such as the mini mart, but hopefully it will attract a lot more people to Weserville!
ReplyDeleteHmm interesting i would like to hear more about this movie you watched in religion hopefully i will get to watch it next year it sounds intriguing on the other hand i did get to see the movie in economics. being because i'm in economics. it was a rather hateful movie by my standards thought this is because i saw as a whole town got torn apart by the bringing in of a Walmart. I really don't like the idea of a Walmart coming to Weserville, and i for one voted against it, but the rest of the board members voted for it.
ReplyDeleteI think Walmart's ethics are not the best but there are many other companies that have bad ethics too. Walmart is not the only one. If we are never going to support a business just because of its bad ethics than you can't really shop anywhere.
